The wait is over. Rockstar Games has officially opened preorders for Grand Theft Auto VI, setting the stage for what is shaping up to be the biggest entertainment launch in history.
If you are ready to secure your return to Vice City, preorders are now live across digital storefronts for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here is everything you need to know about the pricing, available editions, and the exclusive bonuses you get for buying early.

GTA 6 Editions and Pricing Explained
Rockstar is keeping the purchasing process straightforward for this release, offering just two versions of the game. However, the pricing reflects the new industry standard for AAA titles, pushing past the $70 mark.
| Edition | Price | What is Included |
| Standard Edition | $79.99 | The base game for PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. |
| Ultimate Edition | $99.99 | The base game plus exclusive premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and story-threaded extras. |
While some analysts had previously speculated that the massive development budget might drive the base game's price as high as $100, Rockstar settled on $80. Notably, there is no Special Edition or physical Collector's Edition available at this time.
Exclusive Preorder Bonuses
If you preorder either the Standard or Ultimate Edition before November 20, 2026, you will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack. This digital bonus includes a collection of retro-themed items designed to flash back to the neon-soaked 1980s.
Additionally, players who opt for a digital preorder through the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store will receive one free month of GTA+, Rockstar's premium subscription service, which includes in-game cash and other ongoing perks.
Release Date and Preload Information
Mark your calendars: Grand Theft Auto VI officially launches globally on November 19, 2026.
To avoid server bottlenecks on launch day, Rockstar is offering a very generous preload window. If you preorder a digital copy, you can begin downloading the massive game files on November 12, a full week before the official release, ensuring you are ready to play the second the game unlocks.
Physical vs. Digital: A Crucial Detail for Collectors
If you prefer physical media, there is a significant change you need to be aware of for this launch. Rockstar has confirmed that the physical version of GTA 6 will not include a game disc.
Instead, the physical retail box will contain a download code. This approach allows physical buyers to pick up their boxes at retail stores starting November 12, enabling them to participate in the early preload window alongside digital buyers.
Currently, GTA 6 is only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not yet announced a release date for PC.
